Chile en Nogada

Visitar Puebla entre julio y septiembre es una oportunidad para probar los chiles en nogada, un platillo sofisticado originado en las cocinas conventuales. Este plato combina ingredientes dulces y salados, con chiles rellenos de frutas de temporada, capeados y bañados en una salsa de nuez hecha con queso de cabra, canela y vino blanco. La receta, conocida desde el siglo XVIII, se atribuye a las monjas del Convento de Santa Mónica, quienes lo crearon en honor a San Agustín. Los chiles en nogada son un símbolo de la gastronomía poblana y fueron declarados Patrimonio Cultural Estatal Intangible en 2010.

Cascadas Aconco

Admire the waterfalls after a walk, one is 45 meters (147 feet) high and the other one is 95 meters (311 feet) high. The fall of both forms two pools of up to a meter and a half deep where you can swim. On the banks, the water reaches 60 centimeters deep, so children can enjoy this area under the supervision of an adult.

In this 65-meter (213-feet) high waterfall, you can do activities such as hiking, rappelling, and swimming. The area offers a great variety of flora and fauna, as well as high-quality coffee.

Enjoy these waterfalls located among quiet and picturesque forests with steep roads and trails. This park has several attractions but the main ones are the falls which are 250 meters (850 feet) high and 300 meters (984 feet) high formed by the waterfalls.
