Get to know the magic of Atlixco and let yourself be enchanted by its good climate, exuberant nature and great commercial and tourist activity; characteristics that catalog it as the place with the best climate in the world and that it is called “Atlixco de las Flores”.

  • Parish of Santa María Natividad

    Come and walk through the famous church of Santa María de la Natividad which was built in 1644. This beautiful temple stands out for its two altars with a churrigueresque-style, which show works by renowned artists from Atlixco, such as the Poblano Luis Berrueco.

  • Mural of the Atlixcáyotl Dancers

    Walk the 87 steps that make up the so-called “Escalera Ancha de Atlixco”, where you will find a beautiful mural that portrays the Chinese Atlixquense and the standing charro. They are representative characters of the traditional Huey Atlixcáyotl Festival that became Cultural Heritage of the State since 1996.

  • San Miguel Hill

    This Magical Town will take you in a beautiful walk from the downtown of the city to the San Miguel Hill; this route will take you through flower ornaments and endemic trees. Once in the hill, you would be able to admire the hermitage dedicated to the Archangel San Miguel. On September 29th, this hill is full of festivities, customs and traditions, as it is the main celebration point of the Huey Atlixcáyotl Festival.

    Try the delicious cecina that this magical town offers in the Benito Juárez market. The dish is served with cactus salad, roasted onions and avocado. Do not forget to try the traditional barbacoa, the Atlixquense broth and the ram mixiotes. At the end, make sure to ask for the exquisite and exotic ice creams prepared with fruits of the region.

    How to get there?

    It is 40 minutes away from the city of Puebla to take by taking the highway to Atlixco, called Via Atlixcáyotl. If you take the federal highway, the drive takes around an hour.
